FAQs

SevaSphere offers two main types of community service opportunities:
Cooking Fresh Food: Volunteers help prepare 300 to 450 meals weekly. We need 6 to 10 people for this service.
Serving Meals: Volunteers distribute meals, water, and other donated goods to the unhoused community in Downtown Los Angeles. We need 15 to 20 people for this service, which involves gathering at Sakura Crossing and walking to the distribution site.
-
All volunteers must:
Sign a liability waiver: This can be done during the bookingprocess.
Wear appropriate clothing and shoes: Comfortable and suitable for physical activities, avoid big brand clothes and visible jewelry.
Adhere to hygiene guidelines: Especially for cooking services, including washing hands, tying back long hair, and wearing gloves and masks provided by SevaSphere.
-
The serving meal service involves distributing meals in an open area without security or police on site. Volunteers need to be vigilant and look out for each other.
The service requires walking from Sakura Crossing to the distribution location on Skidrow with food, water, and other donated goods.
-
The location details for both the cooking and community service events will be provided in your confirmation email.
Please refer to the email for specific addresses and any additional instructions related to your volunteer shift. Feel free to contact one of our team members at any time!

If you are unable to volunteer, you can still support our community services by donating.
Apart from monetary donations, we maintain an updated list of materials and products needed on our donation page and our social media channels.
Your contributions help us provide necessary resources to those in need.
